Aside from giggling like a schoolgirl upon hearing about the island of Lesbos, my only gay travel experiences have been the odd late-night excursion to the Colombian (http://www.sydneypubguide.net/pubs/Colombian.aspx). (Lesbos! It must be full of ... ah, forget it.)
But still, gay travel is not only a booming industry, it's also, I imagine, a vastly different experience (in some countries) to travelling straight. There are different obstacles to be navigated, and, depending on where you are, probably that nagging feeling that you're just not sure what you can and can not get away with.
